Hair update

Hi everyone, todays post is to talk about my new hair colour.
I get loads of questions about its colour, where I get it done and the cut.
So firstly the colour...

If you look at My hair explained post you will see the colour it was before and how I got to that stage.
I was asked what colour it was and what number I used, speaking to my hairdresser she told me that It wasn't a number but bleached hightlights then once they were light enough she started using high lift tint to lighten my roots.
I did like the colour but I get bored easily and wanted to either go very light blonde or brown and as I am growing my hair I decided to let it rest a bit and so went brown.

I wanted a colour that wasn't permanent as I know that this 28 wash colour will gradually fade and subtly show my high-lights without me having obvious roots.

When choosing a home colour go lighter as they always turn out darker!

This is a light brown but looks like a medium brown to me, also check to see if you can use them over highlights as sometimes browns over blonde can leave a tinge of green if the brown doesn't have any hints of red in it. It's technical but its all about colour balance.

The cut

My hair was cut short back in October 2009, I asked for it chin length with layers. I haven't had it cut since then as it's quite healthy but if it was damaged I would of had a trim.
Right now its past my shoulders and the layers are quite long but i'm growing it all out.

With and without flash

As I mentioned earlier you can see the high-lights subtly which gives the hair a 3D effect making it look fuller.

I still have a soft spot for that beach babe blonde colour but not sure I have the features for it but I'll  be sure to keep you posted of any changes.
