Illamasqua Element contest entry - Water

Hi you lovely lot, these crazy images are for a contest being held by Illamasqua. The theme is the four elements and this look is for water. I know your thinking well this just looks like a mess but that was the look I was going for.
I'm very planet green and the recent events with the B.P oil leak in the Ocean has left me scathing, just think of all the sea life being affected by this horrendous ordeal. The ocean is a very beautiful place all though I am a little frightened of the deep water it doesn't stop me admiring the life beneath it.

Explaining the look
I wanted something a little editorial and edgy, mess but fun. This was not about meticulous blending otherwise I would have made it so, nope this was almost thrown on using mainly fingertips and a stippling effect with brushes. The colours represent the sea, the stunning blues and greens being invaded by this dirty polluting oil on the inner corners.
It was actually a little hard for me to just let go and do a look like this as I'm very controlled in application where as this had a haphazard approach.
Also I have no eyeliner no mascara and NO eyelashes *round of applause please* this was also a strange thing for me to do but I wanted to reach outside of my comfort zone and just go with the flow.

The dark lips just add a moody presence to the image exactly how I feel about this disaster.
