As you guys know or if you don't I have a YouTube channel called Glitterdollz7.
The problem is
1- I hate the name as it was a name I chose before I thought I was ever going to do vids and
2- I would like partnership so that I can make my videos longer and have a professional banner.
People may say it's for money by I have had adsense on my account for a while now and its pennies. So I can assure you it's not a money thing.
The hurdle I face is that YouTube won't give me Partnership because I have music on my old videos, you have the option of deleting these and trying in 3 months for Partnership again but from the experience of another YouTuber she got refused 4 times even after deleting her vids with music.
The only solution is to set up a new channel...
I feel a bit sad doing this as I have worked hard for my 13,000 subbies but a more professional page is needed. Maybe I should keep Glitterdollz7 and create a new channel and upload any new videos to the recent one?
What do you think and what would you like to see more of?

I have this same issue(though I am not ready to make a new channel just yet) My advice is to go ahead and create a new channel since you have a substantial amount of subbies that would re-subscribe. Just make sure when you upload your new videos that they have no copyrighted music or images on them. Try to keep your new videos music free even if it's royalty free music because even that is a hassle to explain to youtube. Until you get partnered, don't put any music at all on your videos. Just keep it 100% user created content(that's really the only thing youtube looks for apart from views/subs when they accept partners).
ReplyDeleteThe reason why the girl you mentioned got turned down is because her account already had strikes against it(these never go away no matter what) and youtube can see those, thus the only option is to start fresh .
Also, when you make a new account try and give it some time for people to re-subscribe and get some views on your vids because even though your 1st channel was very popular, youtube gives automatic responses based on numbers and THEN they send a real person to review you. So give it some time to settle down and I am sure you will have the best of luck!

yes i think makeing a new channel is best. upload new videos to your new one and like ana said allow time to advertise your new channel on you current channel. :)

i think you should create a new channel but keep the old one in which you should upload videos to let your subscribers know about the new one.. that way you can keep your old subscribers in your new account..
