Hello honey hues

A New Year brings new things, I am so indecisive when it comes to my hair and have went for caramel blonde.
I was getting bored with the dark locks so asked the hairdresser to lighten it up a bit for a fresher look, I took a picture from a magazine which was quite a bit lighter but I must admit I quite like this honey colour.

I was apprehensive about going blonder as I have had some disasters and knew that I needed to have bleach to lift the darker colour but bit the bullet and got it done.

The hairdresser pulled the highlights through the cap, a procedure I was not looking forward as it hurts like MAD. It involves a rubber cap that has lots of holes pulled over the head and using a metal hook the hairdresser pulls small amounts of hair through the holes. Owch and Owch. The reason she didn't do foils was that if it had of lifted to an orangey colour she would need to go back over each section with toner which would take hours. Now that my hair has lifted up quite alot I can have foils next time.

All I need now is a good tanner and I'm good to go.

Do you have any New Year changes in mind?

  3. It looks great! When I had red highlights in my hair I had to have the rubber cap on my head as well D: It's really uncomfortable, and when she tugged the hair through it made my eyes water a fair bit :P It was all worth it though! xxx

  11. That's a really pretty colour! I actually like cap highlights better as I find they look more natural & not as "planned" & choppy.
