I have already written about the Maxfactor liptint in a previous post, I raved about the product in colour Pink princess and vowed to buy more shades.
I did keep that promise and bought shade No 4 in Berry Burst. No 3 was more on the red side whereas this shade is a more natural pink colour which looks gorgeous on it's own or used with gloss in my example below.
My favourite lipgloss ever is by YSL called Touche Brilliance Sparkling lipgloss in shade 4.
I decided I wanted to make the Maxfactor liptint a little more interesting so applied a frosty shimmer lipgloss by Myface cosmetics in Diamonds and Pearls.
As soon as I applied it I realised it look very similar to the YSL lipgloss, the lip pen has more of a pink in comparison to the YSL but application is more even and smooth.
The YSL lipgloss is around £19 whereas I could buy the Maxfactor lip pen for £5.99 (at boots) and Myface lipgloss for £8.99 totalling £15.
How it looks on
You can see how by adding a gloss packed with shimmer you can turn a day look to a sexy night look.
I am super chuffed I found such a close match as it's a bit expensive paying £20 for one lip product whereas now I get several looks for under £20 using these.
Do you like trying different effects with your products or do you just use them the one way?

I've heard mixed reviews about Max Factor's lip tint - half rave over it, the other half says it dries out after a couple of uses. I have to admit that it does look lovely with the Myface lipgloss on top, possibly even nicer than the YSL swatch!
