I find them helpful as sometimes its better to see what the products like and what other people think of it before buying it and then realising its a complete waste of money. x

I think product reviews are great, i'm not a very impulsive person and i love finding out about a product before i buy it. If it be reading comments on a review site, watching youtube videos and blogger of course, i find they definitely help me make my decision as to whether it will be a worth while purchase.
ReplyDeleteAs for the review itself, i love seeing swatches of a product, being able to see the colour and deciding from there whether it would suit me. I think a good review should also contain a true honest opinion, about all points of the product, packaging, texture, consistency, value for money etc.
I love reading product reviews and many times they have actually made me purchase a product that I otherwise wouldn't have bothered with. Likewise, they put me off buying things I was interested in if I read 10 negative reviews all saying the same thing. I think they're so useful as well as being fun to read!
ReplyDeleteMy favourite reviews are always of foundation because I'm still desperately trying to find one that's perfect for me and it's good to see if some dry skin out or perhaps don't blend well because then I can rule them out. I also love reviews of lipsticks, although I have quite pigmented lips so sheer colours often look different on me than people with paler lips (who are lucky!).

I love reading makeup reviews! Things like how long eyeliners last and etc are great to know before buying!
ReplyDeleteThings like skincare aren't very helpful though.. because everybody has different skin types so you never know if it'll work for you!
