"The designs represent the inspiration of my haute couture collections and I thought that they were perfect for Nivea Soft's philosophy." - Josep Font

These stylish little pots are packed with Jojoba Oil and Vitamin E it leaves skin supple, silky smooth and summer ready.

I have always liked Nivea soft, it's light and has a refreshing fragrance.
Although I feel as I'm getting older I need something a little thicker as a body cream to keep me moisturised this is still nice as a face moisturiser as it doesn't clog my pores.

Alicia's challenge

Alicia from Funnyfacebeauty.com has a Dare to Wear challenge to raise money for Japan after the devastation that struck this month.

Her challenge is to create a look inspired by Japanese styles, for each look that is entered Alicia and her family will donate to Japan through the Canadian Red Cross.

It's an amazing opportunity to go all out and be playful as there's so many looks you can choose from.

I was inspired to make a cool eccentric look that was a strong on every feature, the Japanese are fierce when it comes to style. They hold no bars and come across very artistic and edgy. I love black cat eyed eyeliner on Asian eyelids it instantly makes an impact and looks editorial. I would say mine is a mix of Geisha, streetstyle and fashion.

Daily Fashion - Throw it on

Shirt - Kimchi and Blue, Dress - Tkmaxx, Wedges - River Island, Sunglasses - JLo

It was so sunny a couple of days this week and this day in particular was really warm but I knew it wouldn't be long before the North East wind came to ruin everything so I took a shirt to throw over the top if I got chilly.

I picked it up thinking geez this really doesn't go with what I'm wearing but meh, I used to have more control over what garments to wear together but now I have found that the less I care the better it looks.

So the motto is...LOSE CONTROL :)

Are you too controlling with your outfits?

Lucy jo's little gems

Lucy Jo's little gems is a new online boutique that sells affordable fashionable jewellery and accessories.
The phone cases in particular are an eye catcher with a choice of 33 designs to fit any make and model of phone for a mere £5.99.

The other accessories are equally as pretty and cheap with the Swarovski crystal earrings costing £2.50 and the wooden bracelets starting from £1.50.

There's also a gorgeous wire crimp bead bracelet that is totally customised to your wrist size and colour selection for £3.50. I think that would make a perfect bridesmaid gift to match the colour of the dress!

My favourite item of all is my Anchor case, I have dropped it about 5 times (clumsy I know) and just the corner has chipped. Obviously they aren't flexible so not meant for bouncing round the floor but it has stayed intact better than I expected and to be honest if I did need to buy a new one £5.99 is affordable to do so.

Shop

I am having a giveaway very soon and you will see some of the jewellery in there so keep an eye out for that.

Disclaimer-I was sent the items above from PR for review purposes. I am not affiliated with the brand and all opinions on this brand and the items shown are my own.

Daily Fashion - Pump it up

Dress - From Miami, Shoes - H&M , Bag - Marc by Marc Jacobs, Jacket - Allsaints,
Waistcoat- Topshop

I am loving this new weather, even if every day isn't sunny it's still bright and making me feel colourful hence the red shoes. They just perk up an outfit instantly and since they were only £7.99 I thought it would be rude not to get them.

The dress is super girly so I roughed it up with the leather bomber which was an Xmas gift some years ago from the Mr.

Review - Organic at Heart

About 5 weeks ago I was in Waitrose having a bit of a wander when I stumbled across this range by Organic at Heart. Now you all know I love my Organic skincare so this product required my attention.

The bonus point was that it is for mother and child so instantly I knew it must be so kind and moisturising if it is safe enough for babies to use. You can use it on skin, on nipples whilst breastfeeding (wish I had known about this) baby's scalp, and more.

Inside the product isn't solid however it does solidify slightly until it is rubbed in between the palms and melts like a dream. A little goes a long way, I have used less than half and I have been using this twice daily.

I was slightly put off by the scent at first as it is Lavender but that soon goes leaving a gloss feeling skin. I went through a couple of weeks of bad skin but used this and my LMS (I will talk about this another time) and my blemishes have gone.

Price
£6.50

5/5

Will definitely purchase this again, it has everything I want from skincare. It's Organic, safe enough for babies and is suitable for vegetarians and vegans.
My skin looks clear, moisturised and when I wake up it feels soft, I always get ask about my foundation but the truth is most foundations will look good on healthy skin. So my advice is start with your skincare then worry about your foundation and you will be surprised.

Daily Fashion - Block it

Colour blocking is one of the easierst trends of 2011, you can simply wear anything as long as each garment is made of one or a few solid colours. You can compliment tones or go wild and clash, I will be clashing the super brights at the height of summer but as it is just early Spring I have gone for camels and bright blue.

Review - O.C.C Spring bling

I started my O.C.C collection with a lonely but very bright Pagent lip tar. I have since added another three being Memento, Harlot and Grandma then recently acquired six which is the new Spring collection.

As always there's a couple of those "odd" colours being the green and brown but these are created for mixing with other shades.

The new collection
A pale beigeish pink

Love your locks

I have changed my hair colour so much lately, I wanted a Gwen Stefani blonde do' but it failed at a gold stage. Any form of processing on the hair will create damage unfortunately but I thought it might be a little kinder if I leave a minimum 5-6 weeks in between colouring but it still reeked havoc.
It left the ends of my hair split and dry, normally I have quite healthy hair with little to no split ends but recently I have noticed white spots on the ends of my hair shaft which indicates split ends and very dry hair. What makes it worse is that I am trying to grow my hair and really don't want to have to cut quite a few inches off if the split ends worsen.

I like to indulge in hair masks and intensive conditioners so jumped at the chance of giving the well known Philip Kingsley's Elasticizer a try.

Daily Fashion - Midi to the max

Trench coats are the perfect Spring essential, they keep you covered without being too heavy and compliment every outfit.
Suede is another big trend so I combined the 2 and found this vintage coat on Ebay. Being the perfect Midi length it hits all the fashion highs, I wore mine with a midi dress, knotted t-shirt and wedges.

Coat - Vintage, Dress - Topshop, T-shirt - Henry Holland, Wedges - Faith, Bag - Celine.

As a last minute dash I threw a necklace round my wrist like so.

And zee shoes

There's some great trench coats at the moment, try H&M, Asds, F&F, Reiss, Topshop, MissSelfridge.

What do you think of trench coats? The non perve kind of course :)

Review - Illamasqua Cream Pigments

When it comes to cream eye products people tend to immediately wince, they are notoriously known for creasing but not all cream products contain the same products. I find some are very creamy and others like the ones above set more to a matt finish.

I also think creamy products will settle differently on everyones skin, it really does depend on how oily your own skin is and what you use underneath.

My advice for those with concerns about creasing is to ascertain the possible issue. Is it because you have put too much product on? Do you have moisturiser or oily skin on the lids? Did you apply with a brush or fingertips?

My tips for cream eye products.
  • If your skin has moisture use a blotting paper for excess and apply a very small amount of blotting powder.
  • The oils and warmth in your skin may break down the product so apply with a flat shader brush and blend the edges.
  • Don't apply too much as the product will build and transfer.
  • Try applying a product ontop of the cream to stop it transferring onto the socket (especially if you have hooded eyes)

Better call the Ghostbusters

Normal is not a word you could ever associate Illmasaqua with, they always push they boundries of exception and confuse our minds with clashing shades and different textures.

Their latest collection has a Beauty and the Beast feel about it with the soft hues of peach, lilac and mint corrupted by the acid shades such as the one above.

It's pleases the senses to mix textures and tones so it doesnt become melancholic and boringly safe. Combine muted colours with neon, shimmer with chalky shades or creamy eyeshadows with matt ones.

The promo images are insanely beautiful, it's warped but maintains reality with the Worlds distruction as it is today.

I was sent 3 items from the Toxic Nature collection which I will show seperately. Today's focus is on the lime or SLime green nail polish called Radium. Im guessing it's based on toxic waste as it does give a bit of a radio active glow. I will be honest and say its not a colour I would wear but I have found other ides of wearing it thats ties in with the theme superlatively.

This is how it looks on the nail

Idea 1 - Slimer

This was done using different coloured nail polish and Precision Ink eyeliner

Idea 2 speckled

I created a similar look on my eyes for the Illamasqua make-up challenge last year, my idea came from the horrific oil spill that caused copious amounts of distruction to the sea. This was achieved by tapping O.C.C pigments onto the nail polish.

Shade - Radium

Price - £13

Daily Fashion - I never relax Frankie!

I've always been a huge fan of the Frankie Says Relax t-shirts so was so happy to find one. I bought this from http://www.truffleshuffle.co.uk/store/ for under £25. I teamed it with my mesh insert tuxedo trousers and foolishly high court shoes from http://www.asos.com/.

I have loads of ideas of what I am going to wear this with as it's so versatile.

Have you got a casual tee that you wear with everything?
